Nagpur case

Nagpur: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Nagpur region on Tuesday caught three class-I officers from soil and water conservation department (SWCD) red handed for demanding Rs80 lakh and accepting Rs50 lakh bribe from a contractor for clearing his bills


The accused officers have been identified as executive engineer (SWCD, Nagpur region) Kavijeet Patil , sub divisional officer SWCD (Brahmapuri) Shravan Shende


and divisional accounts officer (Chandrapur) Rohit Gautam.

SP Rakesh Ola said that the complainant civil contractor had been working for the soil and water conservation department for the last 10 years. After winning a bid, the complainant conducted a survey of Kolhapuri weirs constructed in Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts in March 2022.
